I've never left an Amazon review, but feel like this product warrants one.For some context, I've been tinkering with meal-replacement solutions for close to 5 years now. I've tried huel for a while, but the powder did not sit well with my gut (or anyone's really - I recommend you checkout Huel's forum for a sort-of gastric Stockholm Syndrome expose), and I would prefer to have a powder with whey as it is the most easily absorbed protein for me. I'm also gluten-free, and get most of my carbs from sweet potatoes, so would prefer a drink that has a sweet potato based carb source. Ample "seemed" to solve this problem, but it was needlessly overpriced (this product is $4.5 for 490 calories, ample is $6.5 for 400 calories - that's a world of difference). I also hate how they advertised a high-carb shake for over a year while only having a keto product in-stock - that screams BS marketing to me, and don't really want to give my money to them for that reason. This product gives me everything I need - for a reasonable price-point. Also important - no sucralose, seriously if you had GI issues with other products it could be because you were dumping your system with sucralose, which is shown to be harmful to gut flora.Overall, this product seems different. Huel was started by a bunch of marketers (think about that for a second), but this one cuts past the BS and just gives me what I need - whey , sweet potatoes, GF oats, and omega fats. Thank you !Fyi 1- it's silly for companies to put probiotics /vitamins in the powder itself. You can get really cheap stacks from nature's bounty etc. On YouTube. More importantly, these things are highly individualized. Maybe you need more magnesium, and I need more calcium ... Maybe you want probiotics and I don't ... Simply take the desired capsule with your shake, the price increase is really negligible in the longrun. fyi 2- you don't have to have the recommended 490 servings. I do after a workout, but 400cal is plenty satiating, and has more than enough protein etc. This lowers the price-point somewhat for those who don't consume as much (keep in mind that huel/Soylent etc. Advertise servings of 400 not 490, and that further reduces the relative price point of this product).I've started a new diet 'Anabolic Fasting' and fitness program at CoryGFitness. As someone who has a busy day job, this lunch meal replacement fits perfectly into the macros, low sugar, and great sources of protein, carbs and fat.I'm also really glad I get to support a growing supplement company like BPN. I see a lot of people complaining about the price, but at 4.25 a meal, it's a steal for me --- worth the cost and more than having to shop and meal prep my lunches. They're also very transparent about what is in Strong Food and NO FILLERS! High quality powder.I bought two tubs of chocolate and the flavor and texture of the drink is fantastic. I'm ALWAYS skeptical of protein powder taste, but I was really blown away by the flavor. I actually enjoy drinking itTotally recommend if it fits into your budget and dietary needs. I hope they can expand flavors and will definitely be purchasing again. The flavor isn’t good but it’s not awful either. What bothers me is that I have to drink it slowly over the course of 5-10 minutes. 2-3 gulps hurts my stomach so I have to sip it slowly. The ingredient profile is the most important thing to me and I’m definitely gonna keep taking it. I’m just not sure I’d buy it again. If it didn’t bother my stomach so easily I defiantly would.
