Best chocolate chips ever! Use them for baking etcThese are the best chocolate chip money can buy. Very creamy and smooth. The Best. Creamy, smooth deliciousness. Not easy to find everywhere. 12 bags seems like a lot until you pop a few in your mouth...Not the ones pictured, but the new recipe. Not what I thought I was getting.Best chocolate ever! These seem to be the perfect balance of flavor, nice smooth texture, and size.Size - Chips are probably about half way between standard chocolate chips and Hershey's kisses. (maybe 2-3x a standard chip size)Texture - Nice smooth texture, no grainy or lumpy textures at all.Flavor - A very nice smooth well balanced milk chocolate flavor. The Chocolate flavor is very prevalent but not overpowering (31% cacao). It is probably on par with a high end milk chocolate candy bar. They have great body, but no waxy flavor.Overall I would give these 5/5 stars, these are probably about as ideal as it gets for chocolate chips.Update:After using these many times I have an important update to my review. I still love these chips, in particular just eating them normally, not as part of cookies. That being said, I have deducted a star. There was a category I apparently left out in which these chips seem to struggle. Specifically they don't seem to melt well in cookies. I'm not sure if this is due to their size, or content, but the chips are almost never melted chocolate, at best it seems to be just slightly soft, but still totally perfectly formed chips. To me a good chocolate chip melts, and when eaten fresh out of the oven the chocolate should not hold it's shape when you break apart the cookie, instead the chocolate should melt and pull apart, which these don't seem to (the cookie breaks around the chip instead). All of my other data is still accurate, they are a good size, have a good texture and flavor. They simply don't turn into nice melted chocolate which is a shame. I still enjoy eating these chips, but I probably won't buy them again for cookies, instead going with something like Hershey's which melts wonderfully well.I have tried many different chocolate chips for baking cookies, and these are hands down the best ever. I have tried the generic Target , Wal-Mart , Cub brands and even have gotten many of the name brand ones (hershey's, toll house, etc.. ) and they just do not match up to these any day.
