This video looks at how easily "scientific" information can be manipulated at all times, but specifically (in this video) when it comes to diet information that inundates us. Those involved decide to invent "the chocolate diet" and see how far their "scientifically proven" new diet goes before anyone questions it. They are able to get a doctor in on the scam, as well as an analyst to crunch the numbers. Turns out, if one doesn't like the facts as they are shown at the completion the study, just add or subtract participants, or alter one portion of the trial for "group A" and poof - all of the pieces fit right into place.I am sure the documentary is much better for German speaking viewers. For showing to Americans, there are voiceovers for almost all of the interviews (there was a rare American) and it gets old quickly. The premise itself is fascinting. What studies ARE real? The hoax was revealed in 2015, yet you can still find information on the chocolate diet online - with the information about it being a hoax mising.
