This is such a useful book to read to young children to get them thinking about what might happen next. It also gets the children trying to work out why things are as they are in the story. It is a shame that there is a picture of the Chocolate monster on the front cover. I cover this up before the children see it and get the children to draw the monster from the description in the text. Good fun.
